Welcome To The World!
With blessing from our daughter and son-in-law, we joyfully announce the arrival of their son! On August 2nd, 2024, we welcomed our first grandchild into the world. Everything proceeded smoothly until the day of his delivery when it became apparent that our beautiful daughter’s baby was in distress and needed to be delivered. At 8:09 am, Oliver was born, weighing six pounds fifteen ounces and measuring twenty inches long. His skin was perfect and flawless, almost like a porcelain doll. Everyone teased that he could use a few more layers of paint! His head was full of thick beautiful strawberry blonde hair and had the cutest little toes, just like his mama’s.
Despite being perfect in every way, after being born, he had trouble breathing on his own and needed to be put on a CPAP. Oliver stayed in the NICU until he was strong enough to breathe without assistance, maintain his blood pressure, and no longer needed antibiotics or fluids. Seeing our beautiful daughter and knowing both Oliver and her were okay was like taking a breath of fresh air. She may be a mama now, but she will always be my baby. Over time, Oliver continued to get stronger and was weaned off the CPAP to just oxygen. Before long, he no longer needed the cannula, the IV was able to come out, and he was finally cleared to go home.
Amazingly, It’s been just over six weeks since this little peanut was born! It’s incredible to see how quickly he is learning and gaining strength. Despite everything he has gone through, he was able to lift his head within just a few days of being born. Now, only six weeks later, he can already do so much!
Mom and Dad are doing great. They are incredibly proud and completely in love with their tiny little champ! As you can imagine things got a bit hectic for a while. But, everyone is adjusting and figuring out what the new normal looks like.
I want to thank all of you for your patience while I took some time to help our daughter get adjusted and have the chance to meet our handsome new grandson. Now, I’m finally getting back on schedule, working in the nursery, painting, and creating more beautiful babies for people to love.
Everything about this little man is so perfect! I swear, I could stare at every detail of this sweet boy for hours. I’m already completely and totally in love! I’ve taken so many photos of this adorable baby and still can’t get enough. Not just because he is so darn cute but, he can help his Grandma improve my painting, texture, and color placement lol!
He has brought so much joy to everyone! Now, I can’t even imagine a life without him in it!
Grammy loves you so very much little peanut! xoxo
