So what is the difference between Realborns and Sculpts? Realborn kits are created by doing an actual 3D scan of a real baby. The scan is then turned into a mold for kits to be created from. These kits are most often times readily available, but not always. Sometimes they will “retire” a kit making it harder to find. Realborns most often times come with a BB Realborn birth certificate, but not always. The artist painting the kit will sign the certificate once completed.
Sculpts are just that, dolls that have been hand sculpted from clay by other artists. These sculpts are then created into a mold with only a limited quantity available for other artist to bring to life. Most often but not always they will come with a certificate of authenticity that is numbered and signed or sealed with the sculptors logo.
You will find all of our in stock, available sculpts/images and information listed under the menu bar- “Services”> “Custom Orders”> “Sculpts Available For Customs” Available Realborn kits are listed in the dropdown menu, organized by size.

Once you have made your down payment and reserved your sculpt or kit, please let us know the payment arrangement that would best suits your needs. You will have three options to choose from:
- Pay in full- After you reserve your sculpt/kit you will be invoiced for the remaining balance, due on receipt.
- A three month payment plan- The layaway plan would be divided into three equal payments after your deposit has been applied and you reserved your sculpt/kit.. Payments would be due on the first of the month for the next three consecutive months. Shipping costs would be added to your final invoice. If any payment is missed or not paid on time, the previous payments applied would become non-refundable. Any remaining payments owed would then be voided.
- Pay upon completion- If you choose to pay in full, upon completion, The final payment will be due no later than two weeks after your custom has been completed and you have been invoiced. Failure to pay on time will cause you to forfeit your deposit and the custom will be re-listed.
Ok, now that you have started your journey you can expect the average time to paint a sculpt once your slot has started, is about 6-8 weeks. If you have chosen to have your doll rooted, you can expect another 4-6 weeks for the rooting process. With a total working time of about 500 hours, to complete your precious work of art.
