CUSTOM ART DOLLS
Our Art Dolls start at $550. Each doll is created unique and priced accordingly. Quotes are based upon several factors. More information is listed below. Quote Factors
Estimate for a reborn baby, starts at $550. Details on pricing will be discussed and agreed upon when reserving your nugget.
Costs vary depending on:
- Cost of sculpt/kit- Limited edition sculpt/kit vs. open edition/readily available.
- Size of baby- Preemie, newborn, older baby or toddler.
- Rooted or painted hair
- Sleeping vs. awake baby- type of eyes used or needed.
- materials used/added, magnetic components for pacifiers or hair clips, heartbeat box, weighting, body type, hair, lanugo, eye-lashes…
- Amount or type of supplies needed to achieve interpretation of what the baby should look like, tone/details/characteristics…
- Labor and time required for reborning/painting, creating and assembling your custom art doll.
A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $150 (or the first payment if a payment plan is necessary) is required to book your custom slot. If a payment is missed or not paid on time per the agreement, the remaining payment arrangement will be void with all prior payments applied being non-refundable. The reborn baby will not be shipped until the balance is paid in full.
We take all reasonable requests into consideration when painting, rooting and assembling however, we will make final decisions on how best to interpret our nuggets unique features and characteristics.
We do not guarantee a completion date however, upon reserving your baby we will be able to give you an approx. turn round time. On average it takes us 6-8 weeks to paint and another 4-6 to root. We’ll do our very best to get your nugget home as quickly as possible.
Our nuggets will come home with outfit worn in final photo shoot, blanket, magnetic pacifier (unless requested not to have one), COA if applicable and small box opening.
All sales are final and non-refundable. Reborn babies are a piece of art hand painted, rooted and created just for you and should not be treated or intended as a toy.

About the Artist

My name is Ginger Kelly. I am the artist and owner of Alz’s Nursery. I have a long background in art from painting ceramics, a little dabbling with china, and oil painting when my beloved mama would teach me everything there was to know about color theory, brush strokes, and whatever else you can think of. Not to mention assisting her with photo shoots, and learning about lighting, angles, and placement. Growing up with such a talented Mama certainly helped strengthen my skills as a doll artist today. Being a retired Cosmetologist had a huge factor when it came to anatomy, color theory and more. I now specialize in painting on vinyl.
In addition to creating beautiful babies, I also import the highest quality heirloom baby clothing, accessories, and supplies from around the world. I offer custom and ready-to-ship babies with bald, painted, or mono-rooted hair. Making sure a portion of every one of our sales goes towards materials needed to create and gift therapy dolls for those with Alzheimer’s or other types of dementia at no charge.
My Mama had Alzheimer’s which was ultimately what led me to research more about reborns back in 2019. In addition, my father currently has frontal lobe dementia. At the time, I was trying to do anything I could to find ways to help comfort my parents when I was not able to be with them. You could say I was a collector of sorts. I started the nursery by purchasing reborns to gift to those in need.
After the unexpected passing of my Mama from Covid at the beginning of the epidemic in 2020, my family encouraged me to start creating reborns myself. Over the next few years, I would paint every waking moment, day and night in addition to having worked full-time in a memory care facility. Over time I began to see I was time not only helping to heal others, but was healing but my own heart. With the overwhelming support of my husband and five amazing and now grown children, I decided to work full-time building our nursery from scratch.
