Our goal to gift therapy dolls to those who need them the most.

Alz’s Nursery was created from the desire to help our loved ones who suffer from Alzheimer’s or another type of Dementia, striving to comfort those struggling. Our goal is to gift hyper-realistic Therapy Dolls to those who need them the most. These babies have been proven to reduce the need for some medications. Helping to ease stress, sadness, loneliness, confusion and many other challenges these people suffer from, naturally. Therapy babies not only help bring comfort and companionship to our loved ones but help restore a sense of purpose and rekindle long lost memories.

Our dolls act much like a sensory object would, triggering the brain to create a natural dopamine affect using visual, physical and olfaction elements.

Our therapy babies are custom made using the highest quality materials and craftsmanship in mind. Each baby is created with as much realism as possible, replicating a real newborn baby. Each baby is strategically weighted to meet the needs of their recipient making them feel and snuggle in your arms like a real newborn. These beautiful babies even have that sweet newborn baby scent.

We offer baby dolls for adoption with the proceeds helping to cover costs, gifting babies to those who need them the most at NO charge.

If you would like to nominate someone who suffers from Alzheimer’s or another type of dementia, please contact us. Let us know why you think one of our babies would be a good fit for your loved one and a little about the person your nominating. In order to meet the requirements to receive one of these babies at no charge, would follow:

You can not nominate yourself.
The person you are nominating must have a confirmed diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or another type of dementia.
We must have consent from the primary caregiver in order to gift a baby to their loved one.

First priority will go to those who live in a long term care facility or memory care. As these loved ones are not able to receive the continued support like someone who’s able to live at home with family can.

We look forward to helping you and your loved one find a little peace in times of darkness.

My name is Ginger Kelly. I am the artist and owner of Alz’s Nursery. I have a long background in art from painting ceramics, a little dabbling with china, and oil painting when my beloved mama would teach me everything there was to know about color theory, brush strokes, and whatever else you can think of. Not to mention assisting her with photo shoots, and learning about lighting, angles, and placement. Growing up with such a talented Mama certainly helped strengthen my skills as a doll artist today. Being a retired Cosmetologist had a huge factor when it came to anatomy, color theory and more. I now specialize in painting on vinyl.

In addition to creating beautiful babies, I also import the highest quality heirloom baby clothing, accessories, and supplies from around the world. I offer custom and ready-to-ship babies with bald, painted, or mono-rooted hair. Making sure a portion of every one of our sales goes towards materials needed to create and gift therapy dolls for those with Alzheimer’s or other types of dementia at no charge.

My Mama had Alzheimer’s which was ultimately what led me to research more about reborns back in 2019. In addition, my father currently has frontal lobe dementia. At the time, I was trying to do anything I could to find ways to help comfort my parents when I was not able to be with them. You could say I was a collector of sorts. I started the nursery by purchasing reborns to gift to those in need.

After the unexpected passing of my Mama from Covid at the beginning of the epidemic in 2020, my family encouraged me to start creating reborns myself. Over the next few years, I would paint every waking moment, day and night in addition to having worked full-time in a memory care facility. Over time I began to see I was time not only helping to heal others, but was healing but my own heart. With the overwhelming support of my husband and five amazing and now grown children, I decided to work full-time building our nursery from scratch.

I snuggled him and wanted to just keep holding him but he is a gift for someone special. He will be delivered to them on Christmas Eve!
